In Ekivvulu Ky'Endere, the composer attempts to duplicate the sound of traditional African instruments and musicians. Okwanjula Kw'Endere [Introduction of the flute] is the solo flute soliloquy that serves as the first section of the larger chamber work scored for flute (Endere), viola (Endingidi), prepared harp (Ennaga), marimba (Amadinda), and maracas (Ensaai).
