All of the works selected for The Elements relate to the classical elements of earth, water, wind, and fire. While the repertoire is unified by this theme, each work is based on its own unique story, poem, or image. A focus of this recording project is to support the development of art through new compositions and bring recognition to the composers that surround us today. Many of the works chosen are lesser known and do not have many recordings available or none at all. The goal of this project is to bring recognition to these pieces and make a contribution to the flute world.
