Christopher Theofanidis presents One Thing at a Time: Six Etude-miniatures for solo flute.
These six concert miniatures for flute alone are delicate yet muscular tones poems that explore Theofanidis's distinctly American sound - the first hinges on large, open-harmony leaps, the second on a supple tremelo texture, the fifth on a tongue-in-cheek moto perpetuo - that are both lovely and vividly suited to performance.
