Maurice Thiriet's playful Concerto for Flute is presented here in a reduction for flute and piano. In three movements - a bouncing Allegretto giocoso with fluid melodic interludes and a virtuosic shimmering cadenza, a sizeable Adagio that contains enough material to stand on its own, and a final Tarentella that ends in a joyous and very French display of tongue-in-cheek virtuosity.
