In this florid setting of a quiet and haunting Celtic folk tune in the Dorian mode, this melody is first featured in the bass flute, followed with many lyrical lines shared throughout the ensemble. An excellent piece for a meditative moment on your program as well as for developing ensemble blend, tone and balance. It is also available for low flute choir.
