Traditional :: Semi-Serious Variations on 'We Wish You a Merry Christmas'
Traditional
One of the simplest and most popular secular carols is We Wish You a Merry Christmas. Conjuring up images of ancient English waits and crisp, cold nights of festive revelry, this music seems to be the very essence of holiday merrymaking. It is with this sense of jollity and good humor that these not-so-serious variations should be performed.
Instrumentation: 3 C flutes (with included alternate parts for flute, oboe, and clarinet).
