Dello Joio, N :: Trio
Carl Fischer presents 'Trio' for flute, cello, and piano by composer Norman Dello Joio.
Pulitzer Prize winning composer, Norman Dello Joio, a student of Paul Hindemith, has been one of America’s leading composers for over 50 years. The Trio, written for flute, cello, and piano (1948) has long been out of print, and was re-issued in response to growing demand. This work is a welcome addition to the current chamber catalog. Brilliantly American, with Dello Joio’s richly jazz- and folk- influenced rhythms and harmonies, and in three movements.
Duration: 15’. For advanced players.
