'Tulou was Professor of Flute at the Paris Conservatoire from 1829 to 1856. He dominated flute-playing in Paris during the 1830s and 40s because of his superb playing, his Conservatoire post, and his connections in the instrument-making business.' -flutehistory.com
These duets are in Tulou's brilliant French compositional style that blends traditional harmonies with virtuosic technical passages. These duets should be considered by flutists at the intermediate to advanced level.
