Scherzo Editions presents 'The Northern Bells, Op. 3, Nr. 6' for two flutes and piano by composer Hakan Halit Turgay.
The piece was commissioned by Wibb during the composer's visit to the 27th William Bennett Summer School in Bruges - Belgium, in 2012. It was performed for the first time by William Bennett and Halit Turgay at an evening concert on the same day. The piece was composed under the influence of the church bells in the region where the summer school was held and revised in 2023.
