The Quarter, referencing The French Quarter in New Orleans, is designed to bring the energy and life of that region to any venue in which it is performed. Commissioned by Rhondda Dayton and Mary Predmore of Pipe Dream Flutes & Friends, this delightful new composition was premiered at the 2013 NFA convention in New Orleans. Scored for flute quintet (piccolo, two flutes, alto, and bass), the optional double bass (contrabass flute) and drum set parts help to bring this piece alive! A fun, jazzy addition to any concert!
