John Van Buren's Seven Excursions for two flutes is a collection of experiments in shifting time signatures and playful, tongue-in-cheek ideas. Each of the seven excursions (Praeludium, Dichotomy, Andante, (untitled), Blue Ostinato, Adagio con Carosello, Presto) explores different particular ideas.
