Karel van Steenhoven's 'Seven minimal preludes' for recorder or flute are short studies the minimalist style of the twenty-first century. Steenhoven is a Dutch composer and recorder player who began playing the recorder at only four years old. He is currently in Germany developing a new fingering system for recorders.
