Various :: Baroque Music for Flute & Guitar
Mel Bay Publications presents ‘Baroque Music for Flute and Guitar’ from editor Doug Jones.
‘Baroque Music for Flute and Guitar’ is a collection of works by major composers from the late Baroque era (early 18th century), which offers guitarists an opportunity to play chamber music. The guitar of that time was rarely included in chamber music ensembles due to its limited ability to project sound. The original keyboard and string bass parts of the pieces included in this collection were transcribed for classical guitar. Flute with guitar accompaniment is an ideal combination in terms of both volume and blend.
