Probably one of every flutist s first chamber-music experiences is the performance of flute duets. Such pieces bring a refreshing change to the pupil s lessons while broadening his experience and his repertoire.
This album contains a selection of flute duets from three centuries arranged in order of progressive difficulty. Besides offering a wide variety of pieces for all occasions, this collection gives just as much emphasis to the pleasurable side of music making as to the development of technical proficiency.
