Nourse Wind Publications presents 'Fantasia on Red River Valley' for flute choir by Kelly Via.
While the tune 'Red River Valley' itself is known by several different titles and there are a number of versions of the lyrics, it is certainly one of the most beautiful American folk songs. The lyrics Kelly Via has chosen to work with in this Fantasia on Red River Valley are perhaps the most poignant, the text of each verse inspiring the musical setting. The bass and alto flutes at the beginning and end of the piece represent the heartbroken cowboy as he learns that his love is leaving, while the sound of the wind adds to his feelings of loneliness and despair. By the fourth verse, his pain and frustration gives way to a gentle remembrance of the love they once shared.

For other non-instrument merchandise, request return authorization or make an in-person return within 10 calendar days of the original invoice date. Items must be unused, undamaged, in their original packaging with all contents, and accompanied by the original receipt or invoice. Electronic media must be unopened.
Shipped returns require prior authorization. Return Authorizations (RAs) are valid for 10 calendar days from issue. The RA number must appear on the package, and the return must arrive within that period.
Defective merchandise may be exchanged for an identical item if requested within 10 calendar days of the original invoice date. After that period, contact the manufacturer. Please contact us promptly about fulfillment errors.
