Vivaldi, A :: Three Concertos for Piccolo
Publisher: Theodore Presser
Editor: Dombourian-Eby, Zart
Theodore Presser presents "Three Concertos for Piccolo" by Antonio Vivaldi, edited by Zart Dombourian-Eby. This collection includes Vivaldi's "Concerto in C Major, RV 443," "Concerto in C Major RV 444," and "Concerto in A Minor, RV 445."
The editor writes about this collection, "As I have studied, taught, and performed the Vivaldi "flautino" concertos over the years, I have been struck by the relative scarcity of up-to-date, consistent publications of these three miniature masterpieces. The purpose of the present edition is to provide the modern piccolo player with an edition of all three concertos that is "performance ready" and also adheres to today's understanding of the basic tenets of Baroque performance practice. This third edition further clarifies various details of interpretation and execution, including dynamics, articulations, and fingerings."
