Mala Barvita Fantazija was composed by Slovenian composer Crt Sojar Voglar and received its premiere at the Kennedy Center (Washington, D.C.) in July 2014 through a concert in cooperation with the Slovenian embassy.

The Fantasy opens with the two flutes trading soft tones, in a dark and quiet quasi-improvisation. The piano soon joins with chords and melodies reminiscent of Ian Clarke s Maya, and the three instruments explore the intertwining melodic material in full bloom. The second half of the piece begins as a flowing dance in 7/16 time, picking up into Bozza-like playfulness, before returning to a more energized version of the opening. Quite lovely and very engaging.
