Kathy Blocki and Blocki Flute Method presents composer Diane Whitacre's 'The Dayton Dream' for flute quartet. A delightful quartet in five contrasting movements by Diane Whitacre and premiered at the 2015 NFA convention. Commissioned by Kathy Blocki. The quartet is based on a story by Rebekah Lane in which four quartet members spend a day visiting the Smithsonian museums in DC and especially see the Dayton C. Miller collection of historic flutes. The story begins just prior to the dream with 'Girl Talk..' Next the dream begins with 'The Glass Flutes.' These glass flutes turn out to be magical-which if first seen in 'The Butterfly Room.' Next the birds on exhibit come alive with 'Taking Flight.' Finally, the fun truly ramps up as 'The Romping T-Rex.' (complete with EASY beat boxing) takes over to bring the dream to a sudden growling end.

Sheet music, instrument purchases, and Special Order Only (SOO) merchandise are non-returnable.
For other non-instrument merchandise, request return authorization or make an in-person return within 10 calendar days of the original invoice date. Items must be unused, undamaged, in their original packaging with all contents, and accompanied by the original receipt or invoice. Electronic media must be unopened.
Shipped returns require prior authorization. Return Authorizations (RAs) are valid for 10 calendar days from issue. The RA number must appear on the package, and the return must arrive within that period.
Defective merchandise may be exchanged for an identical item if requested within 10 calendar days of the original invoice date. After that period, contact the manufacturer. Please contact us promptly about fulfillment errors.
