Vortically is dedicated to Carla Rees, without whose fearsome technique and boundless good humour a piece for quarter-tone bass flute and electroacoustics might well have proven near impossible to realise; and to my friend and teacher Christos Hatzis, for always encouraging me to take my own path, and for nudging me back towards it from time to time.
This version of Vortically has been modified from the original (for Kingma System bass flute) to make it performable on a standard bass flute.
