WoodWindDesign: Alto Flute Stand
WoodWindDesign, based in the Netherlands, produces some of the lightest, most compact, and sturdiest instrument stands available.
The WoodWindDesign Carbon Fiber Alto Flute Stand consists of a carbon fiber tube connected to a synthetic base, making it ultralight (at about two ounces of weight).
Unobtrusive yet clever design allow the stands to be used quickly and discreetly. The four holes at the base of the stand contain magnets that align with magnets on the four legs to firmly hold the stand when in use, with a stable connection that is slightly flexible to deal with uneven floors. The legs are stored within the stand's core, locking safely inside the tube with another magnet embedded in the base.
