Yamaha is proud to introduce the new YPC-87 and YPC-87R piccolos. Characterized by a bright and cheerful tone, the YPC-87 features a handcut Grenadilla wood standard style headjoint and the YPC-87R features a newly designed Grenadilla wood wave style headjoint with a slightly squared embouchure hole to offer easier high-range and soft volumes. The Grenadilla wood body with undercut tone holes features a redesigned bore taper with a thicker body to deliver a bright tone with deep resonance and solid tonal core. Sterling silver keys, posts and rings with pointed key arms, Straubinger pads, and a split-E mechanism help to complete this excellent addition to the Yamaha family. The Yamaha YPC-87 and YPC-87R piccolos come with a hard case with fitted case cover, cleaning rod, and cork grease.
