24 Caprices op. 1
Paganini, N
Jules Herman and John Wummer of the International Music Company present the complete transcriptions of Paganini's Caprices, op. 1, for flute alone.
Probably the greatest violin virtuoso of all time, Niccolo Paganini wrote numerous fiendishly difficult studies for the instrument, many of which included ground-breaking new techniques of playing. Paganini's first major composition, written in 1805, were these 24 Caprices for solo violin; they are generally regarded as the finest music Paganini ever wrote with many considering them too difficult to play--until Paganini himself proved them wrong. These caprices transcribed for flute are also a staple in the flute repertoire and are considered very advanced.
