Anatomy of Sound: a Workshop with Amy Porter
Anatomy of Sound: a Workshop with Amy Porter is based on the annual workshop 'Anatomy of Sound' held at the University of Michigan. In collaboration with Jerald Schwiebert, Assistant Professor of Theatre, and Laura Dwyer, Certified Yoga Instructor and professional flutist, Amy Porter helps many musicians discover their distinctive voice on the flute. This class helps attendees 'let go' and find deeper meaning in their art thereby producing tone using the body's wisdom. This also tends to help the students discover their own way through music and life. This 2 disc study guide is for all musicians to use as a tool for the improvement of instrumental sound production. Let Amy bring her research, performance, and pedagogy into YOUR practice room to help you find your most beautiful sound.
