Headjoint Styles - Hammig Headjoint Piccolo

Acclaimed for their rich, deep tonal character, Hammig Piccolos are crafted of the finest seasoned African Grenadilla and cocus woods. The Hammig scale provides the ideal balance between intonation and ease of response throughout all registers.

The Hammig 650/2 piccolo has the following standard features

• handmade Grenadilla wood body and head
• silver-plated mechanism
• standard pitch A=442
• off-set G and large G# lever
• French-style pointed tonearms attaching the trill key, G# and D#
• leather case, case cover and cleaning rod
• Straubinger pads
• split E mechanism - assures effortless production of the high E; ideal venting of the toneholes is acheived as the upper G remains open while the lower G closes when the high E is fingered
• choice of headjoint cut

Hammig Guarantee - Each Hammig piccolo is extensively tested and regulated in the United States and is guaranteed against defects in manufacturing to the original purchaser when purchased from an authorized Hammig supplier. This limited warranty covers defects in workmanship and materials as well as cracking for a period of one (1) year from date of purchase.

Hammig Cut	Provides a dark, sweet sound with depth and projection throughout all registers. This style offers a comfortable amount of resistance and is very colorful and powerful. This headjoint is available in Grenadilla or Cocus wood.
Modified Wave	This headjoint affords a great amount of stability with an extremely focused and clear sound. A very gratifying response and a wide dynamic range are characteristic qualities. This headjoint is available in Grenadilla or Cocus wood.
Modified Thin Wave	Thin-wall version of the modified wave head, featuring a hand-carved raised embouchure plate. This innovative design combines the stability and clarity of the modified wave style with the flexibility afforded by thin-wall tubing. Available in Grenadilla wood only.

Hammig piccolo model 650/3 #32652 has a Grenadilla wood Modified Wave headjoint with Grenadilla wood body, silver-plated mechanism, G# facilitator and a split-E mechanism.

All our used, pre-owned, and demo instruments are fully serviced before made available for sale. They are disassembled and cleaned; cork replaced, pads and leaks fixed; and fully re-assembled and re-adjusted.

We also provide a six-month warranty on further adjustments or issues with corks, felts, or pad seating for all our used, pre-owned, and demo instruments.

Hammig piccolo model 650/3 #36518 has a Mancke headjoint with exchangeable tenon, a Grenadilla wood body, silver-plated mechanism, G# facilitator, split-E mechanism and Straubinger pads.
