24 Grand Studies (The School of Virtuosity) op. 60 Volume II
Andersen, J
International Music Company presents Joachim Andersen's 'Twenty-four Grand Studies (The School of Virtuosity)' op. 60, Vol. 2 for flute edited by John Wummer.
Carl Joachim Andersen (1847-1909) was a Danish flutist, conductor, and composer born in Copenhagen, son of the flutist Christian Joachim Andersen. Both as a virtuoso and as a composer of flute music, he is considered one of the best of his time.
This second volume of Andersen's 24 Grand Studies includes Nos. 13-24, beginning on the key of G-flat major and working around the circle of fifths, finally ending on a study in D minor.
